any one remember this great fitness style model women from the 1990's?, she was around for a short while, i think she was of italian descent, but that is a guess, also her italian sounding name and dark hair, and mediterranean style looks, she did not seem to be around very long, like a lot of other great fitness models they seem to have relatively short careers.

well here is a movie model women i have not featured in my blog as far as i can remember jessica alba, and i remember her from her first tv show that made her famous, well not her first tv programme, but i think the one that made her most famous across the world and in america.

it was jessica alba in the futuristic tv series called "dark angel" and was quite a good series, i think this is what made jessica alba really famous and then she started landing all the big movie roles.

amy childs, another recent celeb from the strange world of reality tv show the only way is essex or otherwise known as "towie" amy childs, as i said strange because was towie really a real reality tv show, or was it more like actors pretending to be making a reality type show based around the lives of some young people.

the answer probably is that a lot of the towie show was staged though this is no secret, as there is a disclaimer at the start of the show saying, parts of the program are acted for a better storyline etc.

does anyone remember the battle dome season 1 from around the year 2000, it had a korean women in it called karen ko (real name karen kim) who played the commanders manager the commander being famous bodybuilder Christian Boeving.

i thought the battle dome was a excellent series, though it only ran for 2 series, karen ko was in series one of the battle dome.

yay found some battle dome episodes on youtube, they are full episodes but they are not embed but they are easily found searching battle dome on youtube.

my favourite combo on battle dome was the combo of commander and karen ko, but there was a whole lot to this game show, all action with competitors from the public trying to beat the warriors, it was a like a more glitzy version of the american gladiators tv show.

Do Dieting Attempts to Slim Down Often Lead to Weight Gain?, More than half of adolescent girls in the U.S. say they are dieting—a disturbing statistic, but even more so in light of new research which shows that girls who are trying to lose weight usually gain it instead.

Girls from California who were dieting or using more radical weight-loss techniques like laxatives, vomiting or appetite suppressants were actually more likely to gain weight over the course of four years than those who weren’t trying to lose.

Most of us...think dieting is going to keep us thin, but there’s never been a single study to date that has found that dieting as commonly practiced in the real world leads to weight loss.

While other researchers have shown the link between dieting and weight gain in adults, Stice’s study addresses a younger population that has seen dramatic increases in obesity in recent years. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 11% of adolescent girls are currently overweight, up from just 6% in 1980.

This is a serious problem, One of the things that’s most worrisome is now if you have fatter adolescents you’re going to have that many more fat adults.

just because these girls got heavier by dieting doesn’t prove that dieting causes them to get heavier. In some cases dieting means intent to diet, but it does not necessarily mean that they are dieting.

The girls, though they said they were trying to lose weight, may not have been eating fewer calories. which shows that dieting often leads to binge eating.

girls who say they are dieting may be those who already have trouble maintaining their weight, either because of their genetic background or just a tendency to overeat.

Girls who said they were trying to lose weight by exercising also gained weight. In contrast, most studies in adults have found that exercise is associated with weight loss and maintenance of that loss over the long term.

the weight gain may be explained by the fact that exercise causes an increase in lean muscle mass, which is heavier than fat.

These findings show that there is a need for education in children about what is proper eating and proper exercise and a healthy lifestyle in general.

I would advocate that people abandon an off-and-on dieting approach, where they overeat and then under eat to compensate and instead adopt a chronic healthy lifestyle. It’s a thing that you want to commit to for life rather than something you do to fit into a bikini this spring.

so you want to be a model? books on modelling that might help, for those aspiring models out there have you considered buying a book on modelling to see if this would help you reach your goals.

i have been looking around and there are lots of books on modelling available at reasonable prices and buy famous models as well that might be the thing for you getting your foot in the door or getting your big break in modelling (getting a foot in the door or a big break does not sound good but that is slang for you).

maybe you do not need a book or maybe you do, but the way to go is to look on say google shops type in modelling and see if any book makes your fancy and might be of use to you.

there is of course lots of information online as well on how to become a model but sometimes, a good book is a even better option then just a few snippets of information here and there on the internet so these are the things you need to think about when deciding what will get you to be the next top supermodel in the world.

or is becoming a top supermodel all down to just look, or can you actually tip the hands of fate slightly in your direction through careful thinking and working out and plotting your path in life deliberately and with clever actions.

this is hard to say either way as fate is in the eye of the beholder, but at least the way to go to work out your fate is evaluate all your options in life, and carefully plot your course in life as well.

this way you at the least are maximising your luck and at least trying to make things happen to some degree.

denise austin here doing yoga, which is a excellent way to get in shape and be healthy, the only problem with yoga i find is it is not easy to do and difficult to do as well, denise austin kind of makes yoga look easy, but for normal people who are not sports goddesses then yoga probably not so easy to do.

but for yoga what i do is just shorten the movements and not do as much of a stretch as you see people like denise austin doing, you can't get the same amounts of movement or range of movement if you are new to something like yoga so don't try and go too far or stretch too far as you will more then likely injure yourself.

just do shorter ranges of motion and don't stretch as far, just do what your body lets you do when doing a fitness training sport like yoga, as it can put a lot fo stress on the body if you try to over do it.

the denise austin keep fit is probably safer as that is working more cardiovascular then it is outright stretching like the yoga is, so if i was to say one denise austin routine to follow first would be to follow the denise austin more cardio keep fit based training first to get in shape and lose fat, and then when in shape add the denise austin pilates and yoga to the workout as well, to get all round health and flexibility of body.

sandy riddell has to be one of the best female bodybuilder's of all time, always modelling for the front cover of bodybuilding magazines as well, she had a great physique that really flowed well with her muscles, to give that not too muscled look (though she carried a lot of muscle).

one of the most recognizable of the female fitness stars has to be timea majorova from slovakia, timea majorova was a top level fitness competition competitors and was one of the top if not the top fitness models of the 1990's and early 2000's.

in this video timea majorova talks about competing in fitness in america for the last 10 years and living in los angles america, it says though timea majorova was late learning gymnastics, so had to learn it fast to be able to compete, but got a good trainer to teach her gymnastics.

timea majorova was never really bodybuilding but had a muscular physique just not the massive muscles of a fbb or female bodybuilder, but more toned type muscle physique of female fitness stars.

timea majorova has retired from competition now, i don't think she competed in 2010 and had retired probably in around 2008 or 2009, is a shame not to see her on the stage any more though, but still keeps in shape and trains at the gym to keep in shape and stay strong, and i think she does personal training in 2011 in california but not sure.

one of the best of the 90's fitness models was amy fadhli and she really stood out for her unique look and figure, which had a great shape to it, created over many years of gym workouts and fitness training, i think amy fadhli retired a few years ago so we won't see much of her in 2010 or 2011.

if you find a bodybuilding magazine from around 1994 to 1998 there is a good chance there would be a picture of amy fadhli in there, she was in a lot of bodybuilding and fitness magazines often getting the front cover picture.

there is a really famous russian model called irina shayk, very nice looking of course, but famous as well because she is dating cristiano ronaldo.

irina shayk has that slim muscle toned figure a lot of russian supermodels seem to have, but is slightly different in that she is a brunette russian supermodel and not blonde, i come to expect russian supermodels to all be blonde or at the least a mousey coloured hair between blonde and brunette, but not outright brunette.

the shoulder exercises used by tonya knight are the behind the neck press for mass, dumbell side lateral raises for shoulder muscle detail, bent over dumbell laterals for rear delt training and upright rows for overall shoulder and trap thickness training.

this is quite a good shoulder workout, i would substitute the behind the neck press for either front military barbell press or the dumbell shoulder press, and use the other exercises.

side laterals are a good exercise to hit the sides of the shoulder and using good form like tonya knight does in this youtube video, so to isolate the shoulder muscle and not cause any injuries.

aphrodite is the greek goddess of love and beauty, yet in the picture below we see venus who is the roman goddess of love, beauty and fertility.
strange having two very similar goddesses both with similar attributes, being love beauty also there is war with the venus goddess attributes not sure if there is with aphrodite.

both very seductive goddesses with bodies and beautiful faces, there may be some similarities with these two goddesses and maybe not by accident, as one of the goddesses came later then the other goddess.

i think the greek goddess aphrodite came before venus, venus the roman goddess coming later and looking similar in many ways to aphrodite.

venus of course is also the name of the planet venus which goes around the earth and you can find links like that with the roman mythology that there are many planetary symbolic links between there gods, this is also the case for the greek religious figures or gods.

definitely living up to there tags of being the goddesses of beauty and love, so they can be called the goddesses i think, as to link them both into the same group as each other as the, rather then versus probably compliment together better.
